I'm still undecided about what events to go for next year - but know it'll be fun whatever I do!
Top of the list is one I can't reveal just yet as its a surprise Christmas present for my partner - watch this space!
Next on the list, I'd really like to do a long alpine hike in the early summer - maybe one involving high altitude hiking from mountain hut to hut and climbing a few high peaks.
Its been a couple of years since I did a big cycle tour and again I can hear some distant mountains calling. Or is it a tour of the Highlands?
Then there are the triathlons to go for. It would be great to get a qualifying place for Team GB in an Olympic Distance.
Most tempting of all is this: the inaugural Inch by Inch Swim Run in Loch Lomand. Around 5 miles swimming from one small island (known as Inches) to the next and running each in turn for around 12 miles. Needs to be done as a team of two. I might need to fatten up a bit and get used to swimming in the cold. But what an exciting challenge it could be!
And for sure I'll be doing lots of coaching. Brighton Tri Club continues to grow and we have a super team of coaches who I'm very happy and lucky to lead as the Coordinator. I'll also keep my hand in with Horsham Amphibians, helping out with their swim coaching. And who knows there'll be more clients looking for help with either their New Starts or New Heights challenges.
