Tri Club of the Year

This last weekend was very special - Brighton Tri Club, where I am Head Coach, won the England Triathlon Club of the Year.

This is an extraordinary accolade as we've only been in existence around two and half years, growing from four founder members to over 250 adult members and a thriving TriStars section of over 50.

Right from the outset we emphasised being an inclusive club, welcoming in all abilities.  Over half our members are completely new to triathlon at the point of joining.

And we have a super team of 21 coaches, with plans to keep the team growing and deepen our expertise in key areas.

There was also a chance to attend several workshops, including Women in Triathlon, Social Media (which I suspect our Club's Head of Marketing, founder of Glass Digital Media and powerhouse behind our social media for the Mallorca Experience Tri Camps could have run) and an excellent one on Analysing Performance Data and Strength & Conditioning that I attended.

Then best clobber on, champagne flutes at the ready and the Annual BTF Awards Dinner - and a chance to hobnob with Olympians and other great names in triathlon.

What a brilliant Club and so good to be recognised for some of the exciting things we are doing!
